Max + Lindsey | Engagement

Lindsey and I have known each other for a few years, and since she is a fellow photographer, I was absolutely delighted when she asked me to photograph her upcoming October wedding on the family farm here in Louisville, Ky.

Max and Lindsey both love the outdoors, so we wanted to keep the locations simple to reflect their personal style.

Oh, Baby Emma!

So, I'm totally going to be 'that girl' for a bit and post a few pics I took of my sister's new baby girl! Went down to the parents house to celebrate their anniversary and watch the Derby, completely could not help myself... my camera was literally in my hands taking pics of her all afternoon! I'm such a proud Aunt!

Michael + Allison | Maternity

Michael and Allison were such a wonderful couple to work with! They were so creative, tons of cool ideas. Doesn't hurt that Michael has worked as a photographer also! 

We started the maternity session at Locust Grove in Louisville, Ky. The weather couldn't have been more perfect! Michael was such a good sport, so helpful with getting the props organized and throwing in some great ideas. I hope to see more of this fun couple once baby Lilyan arrives!

New Engagement shoot prop!

Just got this in the mail yesterday! I'm excited to use it! Occasionally a couple needs a little time to warm up for the camera, so this is a great time to pull out some no brainer props!

Trey + Marcia | Engagement

I always include engagement sessions in my wedding packages because I firmly feel that it's best to shoot this with the photographer who will be shooting your wedding. Sometimes people opt for a different style, or may have their engagement photos done before they've selected their wedding photographer. I personally really enjoy this time to spend with the couple, getting to know them and their style.

Here are a few of my favorites from my most recent engagement session with Marcia & Trey. It took a while to get together on this session since Marcia lives in Lexington, while Trey is here in Louisville. They were so laid back, but shared some nice ideas for their engagement session. Trey works in Downtown Louisville, so he had asked if we could shoot their session at The Belvedere. It was a new location for me, so I really enjoyed it!
