As a Louisville wedding photographer, I have the honor of documenting love stories all across Kentucky, but Lacey and Patrick’s intimate fall wedding was one of those days that felt especially meaningful. In the wake of the pandemic, the couple chose a private backyard wedding at Lacey’s parents’ home, a peaceful property backing up to Bernheim Forest, just outside of Louisville, Kentucky.
This heartfelt celebration was the perfect example of how beautiful and intentional a small Kentucky wedding can be. As the sun set and darkness settled in, something truly magical happened. With no nearby city lights, the night sky opened up, revealing constellations stretching across the sky. Guests gathered around a glowing bonfire, staying warm while celebrating under the stars.
