Louisville Photographer | Judah's In home Newborn Session

Welcoming Baby Judah: An In-Home Newborn Session in Louisville, Kentucky

There’s something beautifully intimate about photographing a family in the comfort of their own home—where the baby’s first coos, yawns, and tiny stretches naturally unfold in the space where their story begins. I recently had the honor of capturing baby Judah’s in-home newborn session, and it was a session full of love, light, and sweet new beginnings.

Jessie and Dennis welcomed me into their cozy Shelbyville home just a couple weeks after baby Judah made his arrival. From the moment I walked in, I could feel the peace and joy that filled the air. Judah was calm and curious, already soaking in the world around him with wide, soulful eyes.

We started in the nursery—a serene space filled with soft neutrals, meaningful touches, and a quiet warmth that echoed the deep love Jessie and Dennis already have for their son. Natural light filtered in through the windows, casting a gentle glow on Judah as he snuggled close to mom and dad.

There’s a special kind of magic that happens during these in-home sessions. Whether it was Jessie gently rocking Judah in her arms, or Dennis cradling his son with that unmistakable look of pride, the candid moments told a story more powerful than any pose could.

We captured tiny fingers wrapped around dad’s thumb, Judah’s soft expressions while resting on mom’s chest, and those quiet, tender moments that make newborn life so sacred. Jessie and Dennis are already such a strong, graceful team—patient, kind, and totally smitten with their little boy.

To the new parents: thank you for inviting me into your home during such a personal and beautiful time in your lives. Baby Judah is incredibly lucky to grow up surrounded by your love. I can’t wait to see how his story unfolds.

If you’re in the Louisville area and thinking about an in-home newborn session, I’d love to help capture your family’s next chapter—right where your story begins.
